Isaiah 26:3  You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.

Is your mind fixed on your problems or fears or is your mind fixed on God?  Are you heart broken and wondering what’s next?  Have you suffered so much loss that you aren’t sure where to turn anymore?  I challenge you today to fix your gaze on Him.

Perfect peace will not be found anywhere other than in God.  He is the one who can heal your broken heart, your finances, your relationships.  He is the one who can guide you to the truth you are looking for, He is the one who holds your future.  He is the only one who holds life and death in the palm of His hand.  He created all and He sees all you are facing today and all you will face tomorrow and He is ready and willing to give you the peace you need if you will just trust in Him.

It is easy to say we trust in God when we are expecting great things or we are praying for something good to happen but where do your thoughts go when you were hoping for something to turn out a particular way and it doesn’t.  What happens when your heart is set on something like a relationship or a new job and it doesn’t work out, do you get angry with God or do you know in your heart He has your best in mind and He has a better plan.

If for some reason you are lacking trust I would encourage you today to ask Him to help you to see His goodness and for Him to help you to grow in your faith and knowledge of Him.  He will guide you into all truth and He would love to help you know Him better.  Trust is developed in any relationship as you get to know someone better.  If you are walking with God but don’t really know Him well then of course your trust will be lacking.  Spend time reading His Word, pour yourself into finding resources to help you know Him better.  If you seek Him, He will be found by you! (1 Chronicles 28:9)  His desire is for you to know Him!

My prayer for all of us today is for each of us to grow daily in our knowledge and trust in Him.
