“Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert.”
Sometimes you can get your heart and mind so set on what you are doing that you have difficulty seeing that God is trying to do something new! Don’t get too attached to what you are doing because God is always moving and working and as attached as you may be to what you are doing, you need to trust Him that this new thing is going to be even better!
Are you open today to God moving you in a new direction? I admit that the prospect of something new and unknown can be a bit unsettling, but you have to trust that He knows what is best! Hold on to Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans for good and not for evil, to give you future and a hope.” God is always moving forward and planning ahead, so if He is bringing something new, trust Him that it is right and good! There is a reason for all that He does!
If He has called you to something new, trust that He will make a way, where there doesn’t seem to be a way! “He will make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” He isn’t going to call you to do something and then not provide a way to do it! Ask Him to give you the faith you need. As Martin Luther King once said, “Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase.” If God is leading you to do something, you may have to take that first step in order to see His plan!
Trust God today if He is bringing something new, get excited and trust Him that His best is yet to come if you will just remain faithful and follow Him!
