Children of The King!

Judges 8:18

Then he said unto Zebah and Zalmunna, “What manner of men were they whom you slew at Tabor?”  And they answered, “As thou art, so were they; each one resembled the children of a king.”

That verse almost leaves me speechless, I read it and I was just so in awe of how great God is!  The Israelites as we all know are His chosen people AND so are we! Do you ever forget that or maybe you have just never let it really sink in.  YOU are chosen by God and if you have chosen to be His child then you are a child of a King!  When these two leaders spoke those words they really didn’t understand fully what King they were talking about.

So, do you act, walk and talk like you are royalty?  You should, we all should!  This is no small thing because if we can really grab onto the idea that we are His princesses (without the giggle, only confidence here) then we will have the confidence of exactly that!  Our Father, the king, wants the best for us and He is ready to equip us with all we could possibly need to be successful in His calling on our lives!  What are you waiting for?

Have you noticed the “royal family” in England?  They are very careful of how they behave especially in public; after all they are royalty and must have a high standard of etiquette and example.  That is why the Queen was so hard pressed to tolerate Dianna at times with her outspoken behavior; it just isn’t done that way in their position.  What about you?  Are you careful that your behaviors and attitudes represent your Father, the King? Are there things that need to change or maybe need to be tossed aside?  The  difference here between us and the “royal family” should be though that they do it to save “face” and we should be doing it for our love for our Father the King.

It is obvious that God’s presence was all over the Israelites and they could be recognized as a child of a king.  That is my prayer; that God’s presence will be all over and through me to the point where I will resemble a child of a King!
