2 Timothy 2:19
But God’s firm foundation stands, bearing this seal: “The Lord knows those who are His,” AND, “Let everyone who names the name of the Lord depart from iniquity.”

There is no question to God today whether or not you are His, if you have accepted Him as your savior, He knows His children! As His child, you are commanded to depart from iniquity! Seems pretty simple, put that way and yet we all struggle in one area or another with sin. There is a difference though between “struggling” with sin and choosing to live in sin!

We are called by our Holy Father to rise above and to choose what is good and right, and to depart from sin! Push it away! Run from it! Avoid it at all costs! Do whatever you need to do on your part to avoid anything that will lure you into it’s clutches! We all have to make choices every single day where sin is concerned, but God has already given you victory if you are His and you allow His spirit to guide you in all you do! Sin can easily get a foothold if you are feeling that you somehow “deserve” something that you don’t already have and you are not willing to wait on God for it! It’s not about you, thinking that it is, will often get you in trouble if you allow it to! It is about what you are called to, and the Holy God we serve! He has called you to a better life, a life filled with Him because He will always lead you to what is good and what is right. He will also always bring what is done in the “dark” (secret sins) to light so they can be dealt with! No one wants to be “exposed”, but the only way to put it behind you is to deal with it and get the help needed. If you need an accountability partner, find one who will actually hold you accountable, not someone who will just pretend with you that everything is ok. God wants you to have victory.

We are called to live life in a way that will honor God but not only that, we are called to walk with each other and help lift each other up to a higher standard that will glorify God. If you know someone who needs help I would encourage you to encourage them in the right direction. Ignoring sin in our lives will never make it go away! It won’t just “fix” itself with time it will only get worse if it isn’t dealt with. Pray and ask God how you can better serve Him and be a light for everyone around you. God’s best will always be found in the light because that is where He is! The best is yet to come!
