Proverbs 27:17   As iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.

Who are you running with?  What are your goals?  Are you going to settle for a mediocre lifestyle for God or are you going to strive to be all you can be?  Who you hang out with determines a lot of how you think.  It is the power of association.  Who you hang with is who you become more like.  You rub off on each other and become more and more alike.  This is a lesson we always tried to get across to the youth when we would talk with them at Xtreme but it applies to us as women too.

If a herd of cows all walk through a stream all of them will be wet when they come out on the other side, you aren’t going to find that just one of them crossed and remained dry.  Who you walk through life with makes a difference.  As someone once said; “Those who journey with the wise shall likewise become; and a companion of mediocrity will become the same.”  What are your friends like?  What kind of friend are you, are you someone who tries to help your friends become all they can be for God or do you and your friends have coffee and discuss the latest gossip?  I would have to believe that most of you are the friend that is looking to grow and be the example I would just encourage you to continue to be careful who you allow to influence you in your walk.  It is ok to have friends that are on different levels spiritually and some may not be saved yet, just be careful who you allow to speak into your life.  Make sure the friends you share your struggles with are friends that will help you to become all you can be while you are in the process of helping others do the same.

Do you like where you are in your walk with God and in life in general or do you see some room for growth?  Maybe it will take joining that Bible study
or getting more involved with your small group in your church.  I would just encourage you to do WHATEVER IT TAKES!  Just do it!  And be all God created
you to be!  Don’t settle for where you are!  Keep stretching yourself spiritually and help your friends to stretch themselves spiritually as well.
