Don’t Allow Fear To Rule Your Day

by | Oct 16, 2013

Job 1:10   Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side?  Thou hast blessed the work of his hands and his substance is increased in the land.

There is so much going on in the world anymore with terrorist threats, gang wars, drive by shootings, kids killing kids in the school etc that it would be easy to live in constant fear.  It is almost understandable how some people become agoraphobics where they are so consumed with fear it is almost impossible for them to force themselves to leave the house.  It is so important to cover yourselves and your loved ones in prayer every day.  One of my most precious memories as a child was seeing my Mom on her knees by her bed praying for all of us.

I pray constantly for a hedge of protection to be placed around each of us every day and that God will bind Satan’s efforts to cause harm.  Now ladies we all know what happened with Job, he lost everything because God allowed Satan to touch his life, but he couldn’t do anything without it passing by God first.  God promises to never put on us more than we can bare and He will always provide the grace to get through.  I believe that if we are in the will of God and we pray for God’s protection we are doing our part to protect our families and then we need to put all of our trust in Him.

The Bible says in 2 Timothy 1:7 “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”  God’s desire for us is not for us to live in fear but for us to rest in Him.  If we are living in fear we cannot be as effective for Him.  Be prayed up in every situation and take on God’s gift of power, love and a sound mind so you can focus on the task before you and you will accomplish  all that you are called to accomplish.

Quote:   “When you have a choice and don’t make it, that is in itself a choice.”  William James

I love your devotions, they are inspiring. Can you tell me the verse where God promises to never put on us more than we can bare and He will always provide the grace to get through. I have always heard people say that saying. But have never read it. Will you please email it to me at [email protected]. I wonder if people are referring to this verse when they use that saying.
2Corinthians 10:13  No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

    God”s Blessings on you,

      1 Corinthians 10:13
There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
