Don’t Give Up

Matthew 11:28
“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

Are you weary lately? Have you felt as though Satan has come after you with a vengeance attacking your marriage, your finances, your children, your job, your appliances, your hat? Well, maybe not your hat, but you get what I mean, nothing is sacred! Everywhere you turn you feel as though you can’t take the constant struggle!

Bill and I have felt that way lately and we have had numerous other people tell us the same thing.  Don’t give up, God wants to refresh your soul, heart and mind!

Galatians 6:9 tells us, “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”

Don’t give up! Seriously don’t give up on your finances, don’t give up on your marriage or your children or your job. Hang in there and hold onto the hope that is within you that God has placed deep within you that tells you “yes, He is going to get you through this to the other side and His plans for you will bless your socks off!” God’s love for you is immeasurable and if you go to Him, He will give you rest from it all. There are times that He allows these seasons to stretch and grow us so ask Him what you need to learn through this, it may be a necessary lesson to be able to help others down the road.

Hold on and learn what you need to learn, ask God for discernment and direction. Pray for His wisdom and guidance and He will direct your paths. If you are facing more obvious attacks of spiritual warfare then I would encourage you to read Neil Anderson’s book “Restored” or “Bondage Breakers” and “Victory Over Darkness”.

Fill your house with praise and worship music and spend as much time in The Word as possible. Fill your mind with God. Ask God to help you change the way you think and to increase your faith. Look up the promises of God, verses like Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Don’t allow Satan the opportunity to fill your mind with lies because the best is truly yet to come if you will just remain faithful and seek God!
