Even Now There Is Hope, In Spite Of “It”

Ezra 10:2
An Shecaniah the son of Jehiel, of the sons of Elam, addressed Ezra; “We have broken faith with our God and have married foreign women from the peoples of the land, but even now there is hope for Israel in spite of this.”

There is still hope…………………..

No matter what you have done, no matter what someone else has done, no matter what is going on in this nation of ours……. there is still hope!

Have you all but given up on the idea of getting married? Have you about given up on your marriage? How about those finances, are you so buried you don’t see light of day under that stress? What about those children? The list is endless……. what about the fact that I am divorced, or maybe you had an abortion, maybe you struggle with addictions, what have you done or what has someone else done that has left you feeling hopeless?

Our nation has become a nation that has chosen to make sin something that isn’t wrong, the thing that is claimed to be wrong is saying that sin is wrong! Did you follow that? Sin is wrong! It doesn’t matter what the government or anyone around you says, Sin is Wrong! We are in the position as a nation to bring great judgment by God on ourselves because of the crazy rampant sin in this nation! BUT, there is hope!

Instead of doing our best to listen to God and fight for what is right in our marriages, for our children, finances and our struggles we seem to have become content with just throwing in the towel when things get uncomfortable! Don’t give up! Don’t allow Satan to have victory because you just don’t feel like fighting any more! Stand up today and start fighting again for what is right in your home.

If you are single and you feel as though it is hopeless, you will never find that right spouse, stop looking! When you stop searching for that spouse you so desperately want, God can then move in your situation. It is just like anything else in life, you have to give it to God and move on doing all that He has called you to do or you are going to miss it, by being to consumed with “getting” it! There is hope, but you must give it all to Him!

Where do we find that hope that this verse is talking about? 2 Chronicles 7:14, “If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and run from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” We need to humble ourselves and we need to pray and seek God. Stop waiting for everyone else to do it and get started! Girl, we have to start somewhere and that somewhere is with us! We need to take time to spend with God and pour out our hearts and ask Him to deliver and heal in all the areas of our lives that are not right already! God wants to lead and He wants to heal and bring victory. Have you even started praying about it or have you just fussed because God isn’t doing anything. “You have not because you ask not!” Pray for that spouse, (the one you have or the one you wish to have!), pray for those children (whether they are yours or not), pray for the answers to your finances, pray for our nation, open you heart to pray about everything that God chooses to lay on your heart. He wants to “fix” it and we need to pray!

No matter what is going on around us we have the option to do right, to seek God, to humble ourselves and pray! Don’t just sit around saying, “well, the Lord is coming soon” because if He is you better being doing all you can be doing for Him including getting on your knees and praying for all that isn’t right around you! I pray He does come soon, but I also pray that whether He does or doesn’t I will be doing right and following Him! Do right til the stars fall girl!
