Even Though You Can’t See It, God Is Going Before You

Jeremiah 26:24
But the hand of Ahikam the son of Shaphan was with Jeremiah so that he was not given over to the people to be put to death.

Jeremiah had told the people the words God gave him to tell of their destruction if they didn’t turn from their evil ways and as a result some of the people in authority wanted him put to death. No matter where you are in life and no matter what you are facing you can know that nothing has caught God by surprise and He has gone before you to prepare the way. I know I have had jobs before that have made me scratch my head in wonder but then as time went by and I moved on to something else I realized that the other job was for my growth and or training.

God is always active in our lives and He is preparing for our future and that is one of the many reasons we need to be sure we are walking with Him and not going our own way. God has placed certain events and people in our lives for a purpose and His timing is impeccable. We can always trust that if we will just trust Him and follow Him He will provide on every level exactly what we need, just like Jeremiah. What were the odds that there would be one man in authority at that time in the midst of such a rebellious nation that would be there to save Jeremiah’s life?

God wants you to be successful in life, that doesn’t always mean that you are going to be filthy rich with money but there’s so much more to God’s blessings in life than money! God wants your life to be a shining example of His power and love and we can only be in that position by trusting and following Him and glorifying Him in every area of our lives.

So, I would encourage you today if you are in a job that you can’t figure out “why” or you have someone in your life that is on your last nerve to persevere and do your absolute best in spite of it all and know that God has gone before you to prepare you for your future. God will use all of “this” to bring you to a new level if you allow Him to! Trust Him today with it all and know that your present circumstances are not going to last forever – the best is yet to come!

    Hi Janet!

I would say that your post has helped me today. I would like to ask for some prayers, if I may. I was stunned by my 19 year-old son last week, who started the conversation by first asking me “if I loved him unconditionally?” Of course I said “Yes!” I asked him what was going on? He told me he no longer believed in the one true God. That he has chosen to follow another religion, but not Christianity. My heart is broken, and during the days, my mood goes up and down, and I try to remember God is in charge, by repeating to my self “Be still and know that I am God, I will be exhalted among the nations, I will be exhalted in the earth!” – Psalm 46:10. When I truly think about it when I say it, I get such a calm. But I would still ask if you and your prayer warriors can pray for my son, to find his way back to Christianity. I would deeply appreciate it.

    Thank you!

I am so sorry you are having to face this Bea! Satan is certainly out to deceive, but God can draw your son back to Him! I will be praying! Feel free to post this on our prayer page as well!
      God Bless,
      Janet
