Face It So You Can Have Victory and Move Forward

Numbers 32:23b  and be sure your sin will find you out.

Sin done in secret are never really secret because God sees all and He will reveal the sin in your life to draw you closer to Him.  When there is sin in our lives it hinders our walk with God and we cannot serve Him to our fullest ability.  If there is something in your life that you are hoping you won’t have to face you may want to pray for the grace and strength to face it instead of having it revealed down the road.  Sin is always more destructive when it is allowed to be hidden because the pain it causes down the road is usually much more painful than when it is dealt with immediately.

Sin done in secret is quite often some of the most wide spread and destructive sin because of the nature of it.  There are some sins we do that are just as grievous to God’s heart but the widespread destruction isn’t there with most sins that people feel comfortable doing in public for some reason.  Sin like gossip or even stealing don’t seem to be as painful in most cases as sins of adultery and betrayal, don’t get me wrong they are all painful to those around us it just seems as though secret sins carry a whole other level of hurt once revealed.

There are always consequences for our sin especially if God has to reveal something instead of your just coming forward and being repentant and honest.  God’s grace is so overwhelming and long suffering we can always know that He will do His part to restore and bring you back to the place you need to be, He is so eager to do that He gave His own son’s life to prove it!  If there is something in your life today that you know you need to face I would encourage you to go to God with a repentant heart and ask Him to give you the strength to face those you need to face in order to make this right.  Don’t make excuses, don’t blame anyone else, just face your mistake head on and whatever consequences that may come with it, get the help you need to get you back on track and move forward again in life with a stronger walk with God.
