Faithfulness

1 Corinthians 4:2  Moreover it is required in stewards that one be found faithful.

How faithful are you?  Are you faithful all the time or have you found it easier to be faithful when everything is going good and not so much when times get rough.

In the verse above, it doesn’t say that it is suggested that we be found faithful, it says that we are required to be found faithful.  If we want God’s blessing on our lives we need to be faithful in all that we do.  God hasn’t left it open for picking and choosing, we are to be faithful to Him in every area of our lives.

I know how difficult it can be when you are struggling or hurting to make yourself sit down and spend time reading His Word, but that is where you will find your comfort and peace through it all!  Sometimes it can feel as though your mind is racing so fast with all of the thoughts from the struggles you are facing that you can’t focus for a minute to read, but it will be worth it if you do.  Pray before you start for God to give you the focus and strength to do it and He will be there!

I have seen and experienced first hand how satan attacks when you are hurting or struggling.  He just wants to kick you while you are down and if he can get you to focus on you and your problem instead of God, it is amazing the paths he can lead you down.  I would encourage you if you are struggling financially to fight that urge to go on a shopping spree, “because after all what difference will it make?”  If your marriage hasn’t been all you thought it was going to be and you are feeling like you deserve more ~ don’t go looking for ‘more’ somewhere else!  Satan is the father of lies and that thought of someone else meeting your emotional or physical needs instead of your spouse is going to come back to bite you in the bum!  “Be sure your sin will find you out.” (Numbers 32:23)  Your answer doesn’t come from looking anywhere other than God and trust me, that other person you are considering as your answer has issues too! Maybe that relationship you are in isn’t going to work out but wait until you have resolved it and have gotten some personal counseling before you seek answers in another relationship ~ it never works out and God’s blessing isn’t there and you could end up losing everything in the process!

I would like to encourage you today to be faithful.  If you have already started down the wrong path, stop now and make it right with those you have wronged.   Ask for God’s forgiveness and get the help you need.  Be faithful to God!  Be faithful to those around you!  Ask God for His strength and grace to be all He has called you to be, it is only then that you will experience God’s best for your life!  The best is yet to come!
