1 John 3:17 But whoso hath this world’s good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?

There are so many people in need, the poor have always been and always will be so there is never a time when we can look around and say there is no opportunity to give. “God loves a cheerful giver” and I truly believe that we will be judged on our willingness to help and love others. Jesus said in Matthew 25 that as much as we do or don’t do for the “least of these” we are doing it to Him. Obviously to God ladies helping those in need is no small thing!

James 4:17 says, Therefore to him that knows to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin. So sin is not just something we do that is wrong, sin is also not doing what is right when we know we should be doing it!

If God has spoken to you lately about an area of need you need to get involved in please don’t ignore his prodding. Ask God to show you today just exactly what all you are supposed to do. There is such tremendous blessing in giving. I cannot begin to even explain the joy that comes from knowing you are making a difference in another person’s life.

If you are the one in need, I am praying God will burden the right people to help meet those needs. James 5:13 is any among you afflicted? Let him pray. Please add your prayer needs to our prayer list! Let us all come together to pray for each other!

I am encouraging you today to look around and ask God to show you someone you can bless with His love today. Ask Him to open your eyes to those in need that He would like you to help. It may be something as simple as volunteering at church, but whatever it is, don’t miss out on the opportunity to be a blessing in Jesus name!

Quote: “Each of us will one day be judged by our standard of life, not by our standard of living; by our measure of giving not by our measure of wealth; by our simple goodness, not by our seeming greatness.” ~ William Arthur Ward
