God Has a Plan for You

1 Peter 5:8-11   Be sober-minded; be watchful.  Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.  Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of sufferings are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world.  And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen and establish you.  Tho him be the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

What you are going through may be new to you but it isn’t “new” to God.  There are others that are sharing the same experience and no it doesn’t ease your struggle but sometimes it helps to know there are other people out there who have been through what you are going through and they have made it!  Satan’s attacks can at times seem endless, trust me I know especially after Bill’s book was released, but God is still God and He will still overcome the attacks for you if you will just hold on and remain faithful.

To me the greatest comfort when I read these verses was the promise that “after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will Himself restore, confirm, strengthen and establish you.”  God doesn’t just leave us to heal on our own or to one day find our way to victory, He is orchestrating your deliverance now, He knows just exactly what will help you grow and what is just too much, this is not a guessing game for Him and He will restore, confirm, strengthen and establish you if you give it all to Him.

Let’s all focus today and pray for each one reading this today that God will do a mighty work in each of our lives so we can be all we were created to be.  Resist the devil, he has already lost the battle if you have truly given it to God.  Don’t try to figure out your outcome, God’s plans are so often so much bigger than ours – trust Him to bring you through and to always do what is best.  Take one day at a time, you can make it through today, just one more day – your victory is closer than you think and truly the best is yet to come!
