God Will Sustain You

1 Kings 17:4  And it shall be that thou shalt drink of the brook:  and I have commanded the ravens to fee thee there.

1 Kings 17:9  Arise, get thee to Zarephath, which belongs to Zidon and dwell there; behold, I have commanded a widow woman there to sustain thee.

God often uses ordinary means to “sustain” us but obviously there are times it takes the extraordinary to feed us where we are.  So often we get the wrong impression of God and think we need to rise to His level in order to receive His help, seriously how silly is that to even think we are capable of “rising to His level.”  God loves you where you are and you know what?  God loves that backslidden down and out person that everyone else wants to cast aside too.  God IS the judge and yet so often we are the judgmental.

Don’t let Satan defeat you today.  If you are in a position where you need God to sustain you and get you to the other side then trust Him to use whatever means He feels necessary to do exactly that.  If we all had to wait until we were deserving then none of us would ever receive anything from Him.  Get on your knees and ask Him to forgive any areas of sin you may have in your life and then let those go as you seek to allow Him to be the Lord of your life in every area; your walk, your attitude about life, deliverance, healing, EVERYTHING, give Him everything!

Elijah was where he was told by God to be when God sustained him, he didn’t take his own path He followed God.  Ladies, I would say that is definitely the key.  I have seen God reach out and help trying to draw someone in to Him and get them back on the right path and I have seen some of them turn their lives around because of it and I have seen others take it and continue on down the same path they were on without any desire to move forward in their spiritual walk.  How long to you think God will continue to be pushed to the side before He leaves you to your own sin and resources?

It is your choice today; just how big do you want God to be in your life?  There’s a lot of talk lately about how big the government is getting in the U.S. because we don’t want them to infiltrate every area of our lives and I agree but just how much are you willing to allow God to infiltrate your life?  I want a BIG God in my life, one that is affecting every area of my life so I know when trouble comes my way there is no doubt my God is much bigger than anything life can throw at me!
