Esther 2:21-23

In those days, as Mordecai was sitting at the king’s gate, Bigthan and Teresh, two of the king’s eunuchs, who guarded the threshold, became angry and sought to lay hands on King Ahasuerus.  And this came to the knowledge of Mordecai, and he told it to Queen Esther, and Esther told the king in the name of Mordecai. When the affair was investigated and found to be so, the men were both hanged on the gallows. And it was recorded in the book of the chronicles in the presence of the king.

Nothing in your life just happens by chance.  Mordecai was just following his routine doing what he needed to do and he overheard these men that wanted to kill the king.  You may not save someone’s life but every detail of your life is important.  You never know when that seemingly forgotten good deed you did will come back to open a door for God to use you on an even bigger level.

Don’t underestimate God’s plan for your life.  God isn’t finished yet and He will bring to pass all that He has planned if you will just remain faithful and cling to Him when it seems nothing else is moving forward.  Mordecai was just a quiet man who was faithful in his testimony even when he was hated for it and one day it all came together and God’s blessings overflowed beyond what Mordecai could have even dreamed of.  Is that you?  Does God have so much more planned for you than you can imagine but right now you are discouraged just trying to figure out how to make it through another day?

Hang on and just stay faithful to all you know God has called you to today.  Don’t look so far ahead that you get more discouraged, God will take care of it one day at a time, just focus on today and be all you can be for Him today by just being faithful.  God has equipped you with all you need to do what you are called to do but sometimes just like in Mordecai’s case there are things that need to happen before it all just falls into place.  Pictures aren’t painted by the painter just pouring the paint on the canvas, it is one stroke at a time.

When I was a child we had a pastor whose wife was an amazing chalk artist, she would stand in front of church and would draw amazing pictures but the part I could hardly wait for was the end when she would turn on special lights on her picture and you would see a whole other depth to her picture that you couldn’t see without the light.  Our lives are like that; it may look like all it is, is a simple drawing but when the light of God shines on our lives and we allow all that He is doing in the background shine through, just like this situation with Mordecai, we will see how much more there is to what He is doing in and through us!  God isn’t finished with you yet and there is so much more to what He is doing in your life than what you can see or feel right now so don’t get discouraged, take hope today that where He is taking you is beyond what you could have planned for yourself if you let Him!  Your circumstances may be painful or just plain difficult but trust me if you allow God to use your circumstances He will make you stronger and better able to serve Him.

Janet… God has blessed you with such a gift of using the most incredible verses and such a talent of interpretating them to us. I can’t even put into words how many times you have touched my soul with your words, given me an even deeper faith, and allowed me to pass on God’s wisdom and love on to other people. So often, I pull up your daily reflection, and it is like you have looked into my life, and are talking directly to me. I’m sure a lot of other people feel the same.
I just wanted to thank you, to tell you how appreciated you are, to compare you to an Angel on Earth, to an instrument of God’s words and love, and to tell you that your website has brought me such comfort, such inspiration, and, most of all, the absolute knowledge that God’s love and belief in me, as His child, can help me every second of every day, in every situation I have to face in my life. YOU are a blessing from God.
Thank you for what you do. For facing all you do in your life, and using your gift from God to touch us in a way that allows us to know that we are never alone. That there is ALWAYS God’s faith and love to help us. That God will never leave us. When I count my blessings, I always count you. May God’s blessings and love continue to be such an important part of your life, and, in turn, through you, a part of ours. You are a special, unique, loving, compassionate, blessed instrument of God. Thank you so much, and thank God for you! Kristin
