Luke 2:10-12  Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people.  For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.  And this will be the sign to you;  You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.”  

Wow!  What a night!  One minute the shepherds are just watching their sheep and the next they are overcome with Angels who are praising God and telling them that He has come, just as He said He would to be the Savior of the world!  How exciting!  Their lives, I am sure, were never the same!  They saw the Son of God, face to face!

That same Savior wants to transform your life too!  He wants you to see Him for who He is and He wants to work out His plan for your life.  He is a God of miracles!  He is wonderful, counselor, Almighty God and He loves you!  He wants to heal your wounded heart!  He wants to empower you to do all He created you to be and do!  He wants to carry you through the storms of your life and He wants you to know you are loved, more than words can say!  Have you personalized that?  Do you see Him as, not just a God who does miracles and heals but a God who wants to do that for you?  Do you see a God who doesn’t just love the world, but a God who loves you more than you can possibly imagine?

He knows your name!  One of my grandson’s favorite Christmas movies is “Jingle All The Way” and at one point in that movie the Superhero calls out the little boy’s name!  The little boy is so shocked and says, “he knows my name” and even though I have seen it a thousand times, it makes me want to tear up because the little boy is so moved by that!  Now as it turns out the superhero, of course, is his dad, but that’s just it; if you have accepted Jesus as your Savior then God is your heavenly father and He knows your name!  He knows everything about you!  He knows all of your dreams and fears and hurts, He has kept track of every tear and He cares and loves you and wants you to bring it all to Him!

He came to earth for you!  He came for those you love!  Don’t miss out this Christmas season on the opportunity to share that with others!  Don’t miss out on that baby in the manger this year!  Make Him the center of everything you do and all that you have planned for 2018!
