He Wants More For You Than The World Wants To Offer

Malachi 2:17
You have wearied the Lord with your words. But you say, “How have we wearied him?” By saying, “Everyone who does evil is good in the sight of the Lord, and he delights in them.” Or by asking, “Where is the God of justice?”

Oh how He loves us! He loves us so much He was willing to send His Son for us. Are those just words you know or do they really resonate in your heart as truth? John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son. That whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life!” He walked this earth and He died and rose from the grave for us and He will come back to rule and reign, but are those just words to you? Do you believe all of that to your very core?

Now, 1 Peter 1:16 says, because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.” We are called to be Holy! Yes, we live in the day of grace because of Jesus death on the cross, but grace doesn’t license us to sin! We haven’t received some free pass to sin and live as we please! We are called to holiness because He is holy and we are His children if we have received Him as our savior! 2 Peter 3:9 tells us that “The Lord is no slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is long-suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.” We weary God when we tell people that it’s ok if they are living a life of sin because God delights in them! We do them a disservice because God has so much more to offer them and we are not honoring God either! God delights in repentance! God delights in our turning from our sin and turning to Him, asking for forgiveness, making it right with others we have sinned against and striving to be more like Him. There are too many “Christians” who are trying to live life their own way, doing whatever they choose, but they are living lives that are no different from the rest of the world and they want God to put His stamp of approval on it and that is just not going to happen! He is a holy God and He deserves our all and the only way to honor Him is to love Him and desire to follow Him! Yes, He loves us no matter where we are but that doesn’t mean He wants to leave you there! His desire is to help you to be all He created you to be! He wants more for you!

Just because the world approves something doesn’t mean God has changed His mind about it! I told Bill last night that it concerns me that there are so many “Christians” who have given up the fight of temptations in their lives because it is so accepted in the world today. Instead of seeking counsel and fighting homosexual tendencies people are just accepting it and yet if they were kleptomaniacs, they wouldn’t accept it. (Romans 11:26-28, For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting;) You don’t want God to give you over to a reprobate mind, He has so much more in store for you than that! He loves you and will give you every opportunity to come back, but at a certain point, if you are His child, He will discipline you. I have to believe that Human trafficking wouldn’t be such an overwhelming issue if there weren’t men and women out there cheating on their spouses with these poor sex slaves. My heart is absolutely ripped out to think that there is no concern by the people who are willing to pay for that with no regard for those young people! This is when a healthy fear of God needs to come back in to play!

Ladies, we should love God so much that our desire is to live a life that pleases Him! We should want to be like Him! None of us will be perfect until we see Him! We will always face challenges here on earth with sin in our lives, but it is our choice to choose to follow Him versus living a life of sin! You are worth fighting for and God will give you what you need to have victory! He died on the cross for you sin, it didn’t end there, He wants to give you victory every single day! He wants you to lean on Him and take one day at a time! You are His princess, He loves you and He wants his best for you! He wants your life to reflect Him! We need to also whole heartedly pray for those around us, that God will give them the strength they need to fight the battles they have with sin as well! We need to reach out and be accountability partners. We need to be willing to help others have the victory that God has for them in their lives! Be His hands and feet today! Ask Him to help you be someone who draws others God! If you are looking for a counselor in your area check out the American Association of Christian Counselors website at www.aacc.net
