He Will Deliver And Rescue You

Exodus 14:30-31
Thus the Lord saved Israel that day from the hand of the Egyptians, and Israel saw the Egyptians dead on the seashore. Israel saw the great power that the Lord used against the Egyptians, so the people feared the Lord, and they believed in the Lord and in his servant Moses.

God delivered the Israelites! Did they deserve it? Had they somehow earned it? Were they even really ready for it? No, no, and no!

Do you need God to intervene on your behalf today? Is it even really possible to “deserve” God’s deliverance or goodness? Are we ever really going to reach a point here on earth or even in Heaven where we could look God in the eye and say, “well, I deserve it?” God’s grace stretches so far and wide in our lives that He doesn’t base our deliverance on whether or not we deserve it, He sees us through His son Jesus and that is why He extends His grace to us. God loves us and always wants what is best for His children just as He did for the Israelites. He doesn’t want you stuck where you are, whether it is in a job you don’t like, financial burdens, children that are wandering, a marriage that seems to be ‘on the rocks’. God is able and wants to fix it.

I believe there are times God reaches out to try to deliver us and we often miss it because we are too consumed either in the problem or with other things. If we truly want His help then it is time to stop and face Him. Seek His deliverance and guidance and then expect it! Don’t be like the guy sitting on the roof of his house that wanted God to save him from the flood but He missed all 3 of God’s answers because the deliverance wasn’t what the man expected it to be. You don’t want to miss out on all that God has for you so ask Him to make His answers clear to you today and to open your heart and mind to what His direction is for your situation!

God loves to show Himself mighty just like He did with the Israelites because for one it builds our faith and respect for Him, but it also shows those around us a God they will want to know as well! Don’t wait to feel as though you somehow will deserve God’s deliverance, start living today as though you already have it, sometimes God’s deliverance comes through our changing our habits and the way we live!
