Psalm 19:1-2
The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork. Day to day pours out speech, and night to night reveals knowledge.

God’s glory is all around us! Just take a look around you, beyond the noise of the world and all the chaos that is happening because we live in a sin filled world and take a look at all He has created! We fret and worry about the things we need God to do in our lives and we lose hope and are anxiety ridden and yet just stop for a minute and look around. Look at the handiwork of all of God’s creation, the details and the beauty reminding yourself of these verses found in Matthew 6:

“Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we were?’ For the Gentiles see after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”

We all need hope in order to make it through our days. You will only find your hope in Him. If you are feeling today as though you have no hope, you need to dive in and spend more time with Him. Get to know Him more! Allow Him to just pour Himself in to you and all that you do. Spend time reading His word even if you have to begin by just reading a verse or two.

If you are lacking in faith, praise Him! Sounds strange doesn’t it? Praise magnifies who God is and as you do that you will find that you are filled with hope and faith, knowing that the God you serve is able! Nothing is too difficult for Him! He loves you! He is the God who sees you and loves you! He knows your situation better than you do!

This morning I took just a couple minutes and flipped through some profiles of some people on Facebook who obviously don’t know the Lord and their hopelessness for their situations broke my heart! If their lack of knowing Him and their hopelessness breaks my heart what do you think it does to the heart of the God who created them? The addiction struggles, the broken hearts, the feelings of being all alone where no one cares. I grew up in a godly home so sometimes I seem to forget how much of God I take for granted. I don’t know what it is like to look at any given situation and not immediately think, ‘well I will just pray about it’. My granddaughters will even stop and pray if they can’t find something or something doesn’t work or needs to be fixed ~ there are no limits to what we will lay hands on and pray over! We pray about any little thing that comes up. Why not? “You have not, because you ask not or because you ask with the wrong motives”, (James 4) We all have times of overwhelming heartaches, sometimes experience worse heartaches than most can imagine, but no matter what we face, our hop is in Him alone! He is the only answer to all of the pain and all of the struggles. One of my favorite songs right now is Mercy Me’s song, “Even If” (CLICK HERE TO LISTEN) God is good and He has a plan for your life (Jeremiah 29:11) I would like to encourage you today to put all of your hope and trust in Him, knowing that in Him the best is yet to come for your life!
