“I’ve Missed You”

2 Chronicles 7:14  If my people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

I watch as my daughter Candace comes home from work and sits down with her daughter and hugs her and tells her she missed her and this morning it made me think of how we are all like that when we love someone and we are away from them for one reason or another we welcome that reunion.  God does the same thing.

When we wander away from God or sometimes bolt away He longs for our return.  His desire is to forgive, heal and restore relationships.  Why do we think so often that He is only a God who gets angry and wants to discipline us?  Is that how you treat the people you love?  This is the very reason Jesus used the parable about the Shepherd  who left the 99 sheep in the sheep fold to go look for the 1 He was missing.  He loves us that much!

Do you feel far away from God today or do you know someone who is?  God so wants to restore that relationship and He just wants to love on His children and let them know how much He missed them.  All you need to do is humble yourself enough to pray and seek His face, walk away from the things you know you have been doing that are wrong and God will forgive your sin and heal your relationship with Him because He misses you so much!

Your relationship with God is one that can always be better because you can always continue to grow in it and love HIm more.  The more you know Him the more you love Him.  His grace is so amazing and His love is never ending.  Don’t allow anything to stand between you and the best relationship you can have with Him today!
