Judges 3:28-30

“Follow me,” he ordered, “for the LORD has given Moab, your enemy, into your hands.” So they followed him down and, taking possession of the fords of the Jordan that led to Moab, they allowed no one to cross over.  At that time they struck down about ten thousand Moabites, all vigorous and strong; not a man escaped. That day Moab was made subject to Israel, and the land had peace for eighty years.

The victory Israel had over and over throughout history and all the miracles they experienced as a nation was “A God Thing”!  Are you looking for a God thing in your life?  Is there some area where you are hesitant because you are waiting for God to move first?

The first thing you must over come is thinking about what you don’t have or how you don’t feel equipped.  When your focus is on what you don’t have then you don’t use what you do have.  Let God use what you have, to do what He has called you to do.  Remember the song, “Only a boy named David, only a little sling” and then Moses only had a staff  to lead Israel, and the little boys lunch that fed 5,000?

You must start where you are!  Do what you can do!  God is not in the business of stepping out first, look at the Israelites – God parted the water when the priests first stepped into the water.  If you truly believe you are headed in the direction that God is leading you then you must take that first step, if you step out, He will step with you!

God’s timing is everything and as long as you continue to seek Him He will open doors as He sees fit.  There’s something that I had been waiting for the last 3 years that I know I am suppose to do and the main reason I didn’t do it before is because we were so busy with the ministry I didn’t want it to take from the ministry.  That sounded right at the time and it may have been but then I went through a time where I told Bill I was not going through the door unless I got a sign from God that He was going with me and that His blessing would be on my efforts!  Well, don’t we just wish we could slap that guarantee on everything we do!?  Obedience to the call must come first and the results are always up to God.  Blessings come in all different ways so the key is to not worry about the end result so much as it is the obedience!

So, I challenge you today to take that first step(and I will too):

S– Stop Making Excuses

T-Take inventory of your life and what   you have going for you

A-Act in Faith that He will step out with you

R-Refocus, let go of the negative thoughts that are holding you back

T– Trust God – Don’t try harder, trust deeper!
