Genesis 41:14

Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him hastily out of the dungeon and he shaved himself, and changed his raiment, and came in unto Pharaoh.

Genesis 41:42

And Pharaoh took off his ring from his hand, and put it upon Joseph’s hand, and arrayed him in vestures of fine linen, and put a gold chain about his neck;

You never know how close you are to your answer to that thing you have been praying about.  I am sure that when Joseph woke up that morning he had no idea that by the end of the day he would be cleaned up, out of the dungeon and 2nd in command in Egypt, only answering to Pharaoh himself.  I don’t know that there could be too many circumstances that are more extreme than that.

What is it that you are waiting for?  Is it a new job or promotion, or maybe to get married, maybe you are married and you are waiting for something to change in your relationship for the better, is it your financial situation?  Sometimes I know that we as ladies underestimate the power of a woman’s prayer!  God has a special place in his heart for a woman’s heart because He understands it!  He cares about what matters to us too!

It is amazing how sometimes so much can happen in just one day!  For Joseph it had been 2 years since the baker and the Chief Butler had left the prison and they had never said anything about him to the king to help get him out of prison.  God knew the timing to get the kings attention so everything would fall into place for Joseph to run Egypt.  Joseph just wanted out of prison, God wanted him to rule Egypt and save his family the Israelites.

Our timing isn’t always the same as God’s but I can assure you that if we wait on Him, what He has planned for us is by far better than anything we could possibly think of or plan ourselves!

“Successful is the person who has lived well, laughed often, and loved much, who has never lacked appreciation for the earth’s beauty, who never fails to look for the best in others or give the best of themselves.”  – Mac Anderson
