Isaiah 7:9    If you are not firm in faith, you will not be firm at all.

How firm is your faith this morning?  So often when I think of needing firm faith I immediately think of having faith where my finances are concerned but that is far from the only area in life that we need to be strong in our faith.  What about faith in God for your relationships and for your children and their struggles, you fill in the blanks for where you are not relying on God, you are relying on either someone else or yourself.

I was a single Mom for so long that I guess I got stuck in a rut where my biggest struggle was my finances and unfortunately that became my idea of what faith was all about – trust God for my finances.  Ladies we need to get to the point where we have given God everything, from our finances to our children and any other relationships we have.  God doesn’t want selective faith – He wants complete faith, nothing wavering just like it says in James 1:6 “But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering.  For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.”

Whatever it is you are facing today I would encourage you to give it to God and trust Him completely.  Once you have done what you can move out of the way and let God do His part, just make sure that you are not over doing it!  God wants what is best for you and He is right there waiting to help, so don’t waver be firm in your faith and plan for the victory that is headed your way!

A few tips to have stronger faith would be to start first of all making sure that you are asking for God’s will and direction, you can believe all you want for something but if you are asking for something you know isn’t the will of God then you can ask all day.  God is always happy to show us what is right and give us direction.  Second, make sure that when you pray you spend time first praising Him for who He is and for all He has done and will do!  The more you focus on who God is the easier it is to understand and have complete faith that He is able to bring “it” to pass.  Always keep in mind that God wants what is best for you and He loves to bless you as well, so, “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”  Hebrews 4:16

Be encouraged today and stand firm in your faith.  God loves you and cares about what you are struggling with today.
