Psalm 100:4

Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.

If you are looking for victory in your life and whatever situation you might face then look for the door marked “Thanksgiving”! Trust that God can take that thing and work it out for your good.

Remember the Israelites and their wilderness journey?  The “promise land” was an 11 day journey and it took them 40 years!  They figured it was their enemies but it stands to reason that it was more likely their attitude.  God could have defeated their enemies at any given time, they were no challenge for Him, He didn’t need 40 years to figure out how to defeat them.  It was their attitude; all they did was complain continuously they complained about their circumstances and didn’t trust God to bring His promises to pass.

If you have a bad attitude you could wander through life just like the Israelites and some of them never did see the Promise land, they died in the wilderness.  A lot of times what we think our problem is, is not what our problem is!  A lot of times, our problems turn out to be ourselves.  I hate it when I am just so annoyed by someone else’s behavior and I run to God to, well, tattle I guess only to find out that His response is for me to take a look at myself.  Ugh!  I can fight it and get frustrated and try to convince myself through my wounded pride that it isn’t really my attitude but until I adjust it there is no resolve to the problem.

Your attitude belongs to you!  No body can make you have a bad one and no one can make you have a good one, the choice is yours but if you want the fullness of life that God has promised you it is time to start choosing to honor God in all you do starting with your attitude.  Choose to start your day off today with an attitude of praise and Thanksgiving and know that He will make all things new and He will work out all things for your good.  Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
