2 Chronicles 10:8  But he rejected the advice which the elders had given him, and consulted the young men who had grown up with him, who stood before him.

Be careful where you seek counsel.  As women we love to all get together and sort things out and discuss situations over and over until we have thoroughly covered every detail that could possibly be found in any given circumstance.  That is ok that is how we process things but the key is to be careful who those key women are you are consulting with.

Choose godly women to discuss important things in your life.  Do not leave the details of your life to friends who may mean well but do not always have the best advice.  I have seen way too many women make decisions based on their friend’s advice and totally miss out on what God has for them.

If you pray for God to give you a godly mentor or even just a godly friend that you can talk to about any situation God will give her to you.  Do not consult with someone of the opposite sex either or you could really find yourself in a situation if you are married or in a relationship.  The only man you should confide in is your husband unless you are getting counseling from a godly Christian Counselor or pastor.

God has great plans for your life so don’t allow just anyone to have input in your decisions.  Take time to pray and seek godly counsel.
