Luke 15:31-32
“My son,” the father said, “you are always with me and everything I have is
yours.  But we had to celebrate and be glad because this brother of yours was
dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.”

In this passage about the prodigal son, usually the main focus is on the son who had left home and spent all of his inheritance and had finally come to his senses and returned home.  But in these verses the father is talking to the son who had been faithful and had worked hard helping his dad, probably having to take on extra responsibility since his brother had left and now he was angry because of the celebration going on for his “long lost brother”.

How often are we just like that, we get caught up in the ordeal or situation instead of getting caught up in the outcome!  Do you ever look around at your circumstances and start to feel so bad that maybe you can’t see the possible outcome of what God has planned for you in the end.  If we can just endure the “moments” in our lives the best is yet to come!  Sometimes things can look so bleak or unfair and we forget that there is a bigger plan and we need to trust
that God has our best interest at heart and “all that He has is ours to claim”!

Quote for the day: “The man who said it cannot be done should not interrupt the woman doing it.”
