2 Chronicles 16:9a

For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro through out the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him.

Who do you turn to when life turns against you?  In this chapter King Asa turned to the king of Syria when King Baasha came up against him.  After all of the things that King Asa did right when it came to worshiping God and turning the people’s hearts to follow God when things got tough he didn’t turn to God to solve his problems he looked for another king.  The worst of it is that when he was confronted about it he got angry and threw the prophet in prison and became even more stubborn to the point that when he became ill he wouldn’t go to God either so he died.  How foolish and yet I know there are times that we handle our situations very similarly and to our own detriment as well.

According to this verse God wants to show Himself strong in your situation!  He wants to help but we must turn to Him first.  God won’t impose His help on your life you have to seek Him and His help.  That doesn’t always mean that everything is worked out over night but you can trust that it will come to pass.  God is looking for someone who wants His help, why not you?  Give Him whatever it is in your life today that you just aren’t sure what to do any more and let Him show Himself strong in that area of your life!  Pray and ask Him to take the weight of it off your shoulders today and then start praising Him for the victory and the answers He is going to bring to your life.  Thank Him for what He is about to do because the best is yet to come!
