Psalm 121:1-2       “I lift up my eyes to the hills.  From where does my help come from?  My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.”

When you have looked everywhere else for help it may be time to stop and ask “ok, were does my help really come from?”  Your help comes from the Lord, the one who is so incredible He was able to create heaven and earth, so nothing is too big for Him.

Some of the things we face in life are there so God can show us His almighty power!  God allows things to build our faith in Him and our faith in His desire to help us!  While Bill and I were in Africa I picked up a rare parasite (of course, who wants just your everyday parasite?)  I have struggled with this for almost a year now and there are days that I have to remind myself that God, the God who created all is in control.  I am doing my part to win the battle and ultimately the victory is in God’s hands.  I would be lost in despair if I really thought that my life is in the hands of the doctor, it is knowing that my help comes from the Lord that gives me strength and faith.

What are you facing that overwhelms you?  Know today that your help is coming and it is the Lord that will rescue you!  God loves and cares for you beyond anything you can imagine!  Look for His help just like the Psalmist did in this verse.  Trust that help is on it’s way and you will have victory!  The best is yet to come!  Hold onto every ounce of faith you can muster to get you there!

Quote:

“I am grateful for all of my problems.  After each one was overcome, I became stronger and more able to meet those that were still to come.  I grew in all of my difficulties.”  J.C. Penny
