Jonah 3:5  And the people of Nineveh believed God.  They called for  a fast and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them to the least of them.

Matthew 18:14  So it is not the will of my Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish.

The love of God is so far beyond anything we can possibly comprehend.  When we read the story of Jonah most of the time we tend to focus on the great story of Jonah and the “whale” and how he rebelled and God chased him down with a fish until he was ready to obey but as I was reading it last night to my granddaughters I thought about just how much God truly loves people and He loves them where they are.  God’s desire is that no one should perish without accepting Him as savior.  The entire city of Nineveh was rebellious and yet God wanted to send someone to give them another chance.  Jonah figured they didn’t deserve it and that they wouldn’t listen but little did he know, they listened and changed.

It doesn’t matter where you are today, God loves you and wants to give you the opportunity to get back on track!  God isn’t finished with you yet and His love goes far beyond anything you could have ever done.  The blood of Jesus is more powerful than any sin that could have been committed.  Don’t allow Satan to have even a small foothold in your life with His lies today.  Claim the victory God has for you through His grace and love.

Now, who do you know that maybe just maybe you have an attitude about just like Jonah did about Nineveh?  Is there someone that you just don’t think deserves God’s grace and forgiveness so you refuse to pray for them or show them the love of Christ?  Don’t allow Satan to have that victory in your life either!  What would make any of us better than another to “deserve” the grace of God?  That is what makes grace – grace!  We don’t deserve it and it is for everyone!  Don’t push your attitude to the point that Jonah did with God if God is speaking to you about someone today!  Allow God’s grace and love to flow through you to everyone around you!

Begin today by asking God to reveal His love in your life.  If you need forgiveness ask for it and move on.  Don’t allow past sins to keep you from victory.  Don’t allow someone else’s past sins to keep them from victory either, if you have the ability to remind them of God’s love and grace do so, so God can move and work in their lives!
