Exodus 24:3

When Moses went and told the people all the LORD’s words and laws, they responded with one voice, “Everything the LORD has said we will do.”

That is a tall order; everything the Lord has said we will do!  How many times do we pick and choose when and where we will obey what the Lord has said?  It seems like there are times when we seem to slide by certain areas instead of whole heartedly being obedient.

For some of us it might be how we talk to others; maybe we tell more than we should about others or maybe our words are more harsh than they should be.  Maybe instead of taking our thoughts captive we allow them to run with whatever attitude Satan throws at us.  Or maybe it is allowing our standards to slip a little when we are with certain people we want to impress.  Whatever it is Ladies we need to make a commitment to do ALL that the Lord has said.  We all have things that God convicts us on and we need to listen to His voice and rely on Him to give us the strength to do what is right.

I remember singing this song with my children when they were little: Obedience is the very best way to show that you believe, doing exactly what the Lord commands and doing it happily, action is the key do it immediately, joy you will receive. Obedience is the very best way to show that you believe.

Let your life be the example that draws others to Christ.  You can tell them all you want, but if they don’t see the love of Christ and obedience to His word why would they want what you have?

Quote:  “Resolve to be tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving, and tolerant with the weak, because in your life you will have been all of these.”
