Let’s Be Nice Ladies

by | Sep 13, 2013

Ladies, will you please consider sharing our Bible Study today so we can reach more women for Him!  We desperately want to expand our territory to draw, strengthen and empower more women in Christ. Thank you so much for your partnering with us!

1 Peter 3:8    Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another; love as brothers, be tenderhearted, be courteous;

Ladies, one of the biggest issues women seem to have with women as you well know is that women can be clickish.  It is very difficult at times to move to a new area or try a new church or job and find a way in to that “inner circle” of women.  How sad is it that we are all children of God and yet we can treat each other that way.  We are called to be loving, tenderhearted, courteous and compassionate toward each other.

It isn’t always easy to allow a new woman into your group when you have become comfortable with each other but you never know what that other lady may have to offer you and your friends.  I think we often miss out on great new friendships due to the fact that we can find it so easy to shut new people out.  We can also lose out on some new wonderful friendships when we cast judgment too soon.

Maybe you are the one on the outside, what can you do?  That is a difficult question actually because it isn’t always easy depending on the size of the area you live in.  I have found the best way to get to know new women is in a Bible Study.  There is something about getting together and having that open bond that we have with other believers that draws us together.  Even women become somewhat less catty if they are coming together over the word of God.  When we are all together and we are opening up our hearts to God to work in our lives we seem to flourish more in the fruits of the Spirit.  We tend to be more courteous, kind, tenderhearted, forgiving, loving and it opens us up to a whole new world of friendships.  Don’t give up if you are the one on the outside, find a good Bible Study at your church or if they don’t have one going maybe you should start one.  Beth Moore has some great Bible Studies out and if you have never been through John and Stacey Elderidge’s book “Captivating”  you are missing out!

Pray and ask God to show you if you are excluding someone who needs to be a part of your “group” or if you are struggling on the outside pray and ask Him to show you how to draw women together for God.  We can accomplish more when God is our focus and we are growing together, strengthening and empowering each other!
