2 Corinthians 12:9 And he said unto me, “My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.”

The grace of God is so sweet in our lives and yet I believe there are times we either take it for granted or more often we forget we live in it. Part of my daily devotions lately are in Ezekiel and that whole book is full of the wrath of God, if you are ever wondering just how much difference there is between living in this day of grace and that day of living under the law, just read Ezekiel! God gave the Israelites as much grace as He could with their continual disobedience and then His wrath was poured out on their sin. Praise God that with His Spirit living within us once we accept Him as our Savior we have the power within us to overcome any sin and we have the grace of God to help us through when we make a mistake. It is such a blessing that God sees us through His son, Jesus!

Have you ever woke up in the morning and felt defeated because of the day before and the mistakes you made? Did you feel as though it would take you weeks or months or even years to get back the relationship you had with God before that? Satan wants to keep you down and defeated by getting you to think that you somehow have the power to work yourself back into God’s graces when the truth of the matter is that grace comes from above and we can do nothing to put ourselves in right standing with God, He has to look at us through the blood of Jesus! This doesn’t of course mean we can live any way we want, you already know that, but it does mean that we have the power to live in victory today no matter how yesterday went!

Now, here is the other part of His grace we need to live in and that is the fact that the areas we are weakest in are the areas that will give God the most glory in if we allow His power and strength to reign and rule in our lives so we have victory. It is when we totally rely on Him for the strength to do what is right that He is glorified in the victory we have. What area are you struggling with that you are not relying on the strength of God to change you? Do you really feel you can or should be trying on your own? I have found that trying to have victory on my own is like trying to walk up a mountain during an avalanche! There are weaknesses in each of us that God wants to show Himself powerful in our lives but we must give it to Him and fully rely on Him for victory and strength!

I challenge you today to live in God’s grace in whatever area He is speaking to you about right now and claim His victory, quit trying to do it by yourself and certainly don’t live with the lies from Satan that you are defeated because of past mistakes. Give Jesus the credit He deserves for having died for that mistake and move forward in the grace of God starting right now!
