May The Lord Grant You The Petition You Have Made To Him

1 Samuel 1:19b
and the Lord remembered her.

Hannah had been overwhelmed for years because not only could she not have children, she had Peninnah, her rival, tormenting her all the time because Peninnah had several children. Hannah prayed continually year after year, I am sure, day after day. She was so upset at the yearly sacrifice one year that she couldn’t even eat and she went up to the temple and poured her heart out to God and sobbed! She was so distraught that Eli the priest thought she was drunk. When she told him what she was praying about, he blessed her and sent her on her way.

Notice in verses 17 and 18 of this chapter it says, Then Eli answered, “Go in peace, and the God of Israel grant your petition that you have made to him. And she said, “Let your servant find favor in your eyes.” Then the woman went her way and ate, and her face was no longer sad. Hannah believed God! Then we find ourselves at verse 19b, “and the Lord remembered her.”

What are you distraught about today? What have you prayed about for so long that you are almost weary of praying? I would like to encourage you to continue. Pour your heart out to God today, give it all back to Him and may you go in peace, knowing the Lord has heard your prayer and may He grant you your petition, just like He did Hannah’s. Believe God! If what you are praying about lines up with scripture then go to Him with boldness. Have the faith to believe and trust that He will always do what is best for you! Just because it hasn’t happened yet, doesn’t mean you should give up ~ continue to pray and pour your heart out to Him, today could be that day that “He remembers………” If He has promised it and put it on your heart, He will deliver!

1)Continue to pray and give it all to Him
2) Believe God and Trust Him with the answer
3) If you are believing Him for an answer, there’s no reason to continue being sad about it ~ rejoice in God’s goodness and get ready!

No, this isn’t a name it and claim it message, we are deeper than that and we certainly aren’t shallow enough to think God doesn’t care about every little detail that you care about either! God cares about every little thing that matters to you, so why not pray for it or about it! Don’t miss out on the goodness and blessings of God because you think you could ever ask too much! He is the God of all Who owns it all and He loves you like a really good Dad loves His children! He loves to do things for you! The best is yet to come!
