Need a Place to Hide?

Psalm 32:7   You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.

Do you ever have those times when you just feel overwhelmed with life and there is just no place to hide or go for a much needed break?!  I do!  On those days when it just seems too much to bear and you just don’t know where to turn as “cliché” as it may sound – learn to allow God to be your “hiding place”!  Just close your eyes and envision climbing up on his lap and just ask Him to hold you and protect you from trouble and stress and ask Him to put a song of deliverance in your heart!

As women sometimes I think we feel so much pressure to be perfect and to be wonder woman making sure everything is done and trying to meet our husband and children’s needs.  After a while you can get to the point of burn out and it all seems to be too much if you aren’t careful.  The key is to allow God to show us how to rest at that point.

It is impossible to face this life alone and He wants you to allow Him to be your hiding place, your sanctuary away from it all!!  Take Him up on it and rest with Him and let Him take over the “stuff” you just can’t handle any more!  Let Him be your “safe place” that you go to when you need to sort things out and when you need a break!  God does care; He keeps track of your every tear!  If it is important to you it is very important to Him as well! The best is yet to come but let Him help you get there!
