“Oh That You Would Bless Me Indeed!”

1 Chronicles 4:10  And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, “Oh, that you would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that your hand would be with me, and that you would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!”  So God granted him what he requested.

Have you ever woke up in the morning already feeling like somehow you aren’t measuring up and you aren’t even sure why you feel that way?  I have and I have learned that the only cure is to pray it away.  It looks as though Jabez felt that way himself.  He was named Jabez by his mom because she said, “she bore him in pain”  we don’t know the full extent of that comment because giving birth to a child is always painful unless of course you live in our day where there are meds for that, no app, but there are meds.

Anyhow, Jabez appears to just truly need a blessing from God on this day of his prayer so he poured his heart out to God pleading with Him to bless him and to have his hand on his life so he wouldn’t cause any more pain!  What are you burdened about today?  Are you at that point where you just need God to bless you today, to just reach out and show you His love in some way?

Pour your heart out to Him, ask Him to bless you as well as deliver you from whatever it is you need deliverance from in your life.  Jabez felt he caused pain, some women (and men) know they cause pain, it’s time to be delivered from that.  Sometimes there are days when your heart just needs to feel loved in the midst of everything going on!  God’s love is the only answer when we just feel down about ourselves, it is who we are in Christ that makes us “something”.  Ask God to fill you with His confidence and love today and bless you and then be ready to receive it!  The best is yet to come!
