Pray Boldly

Exodus 19: 24  And the Lord said to him, “God down, and com up bringing Aaron with you.  But do not let the priests and the people break through to come up to the Lord, lest he break out against them.”  So Moses went down to the people and told them.

Wow, those are pretty harsh words for the people of Israel.  God was on the Mountain and they were told not to even touch it or they were to die.  The Almighty God of the Universe was visiting them and they were unable to go near.

Hebrews 4:16 “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in the time of need.”

This day of grace after the death of Jesus for our sin has brought about some drastic changes.  The privilege we now have to have the presence of God always with us in the form of the Holy Spirit and the ability to go to God boldly to His throne of grace where He sees us through His Son is mind boggling!

I have felt lately as though we often recite words like this because they are in our head but the true meaning isn’t really embedded in our hearts where it can truly make a difference in our lives.  We really need to grasp that this isn’t just some imaginary “fairy tale” kind of idea, this is reality!  The God of All – the One who created everything allows us to approach Him about every little thing that we desire to come to Him about!  I have prayed before for the tiniest of things and have watched as He answered!  Amazing!  How do we allow it to slide some days as though it is no big deal!  There’s nothing you are facing this morning that could be anywhere near as significant in your life as the fact that you have access to the God of All!  If you need answers~ ask Him!  If you need victory in your life ~ talk to Him about it and know that He has already equipped you to have it and He will walk with you!  Do you have heartaches this morning ~ take them to Him and allow Him to heal your heart!

Pray!  Don’t wait any longer, pray about it!  Thank Him for allowing us the opportunity today to approach His throne boldly knowing that He cares about every little detail of our lives!  He wants to help you today, He wants to give you the strength you need to more than just “survive” the day, He wants you to thrive in the areas you are struggling with so others will see Him in you!  Do you have someone else you need to pray for as well, don’t miss out on this opportunity to intervene on their behalf.  (One side note:  Be careful how you pray for your spouse because trust me you don’t really want God to slap a knot on his head, you really want God’s blessing and favor and wisdom in his life. ) Remember that you are approaching God who can do anything so be careful what you pray for because how you pray really affects you.  If you pray with a right attitude it affects your outlook on not only your circumstances but also those around you.
