Isaiah 48:17
Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the Lord your God, who teaches you to profit, who leads you in the way you should go.”

He will lead you, but He isn’t going to drag you if you choose to go your own way, but it is His way that is always the best way. It seems that over the years people have gotten more and more used to just making decisions without even consulting God. There are so many promises God has for us in His word, but you must follow Him in order for them to be true for your life. You won’t find any verse in the Bible that will tell you that you can go your own way, live any way you choose to live and you can expect God’s blessing on your life! Just like it says in 2 Chronicles 7:14, “if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” I would have to say, that verse is pretty self explanatory!

Who doesn’t want to be successful in life? Everyone wants God’s favor and blessing on their life, well, you have to choose Him. Each and every day we have the choice of whether or not to follow Him or to go our own way. We can choose whether or not to ask Him before we make a decision what we should do, or we can just decide what seems to suit our fancy best. Know this though, you can choose what you want, but if you really want God’s best for your life and those you love, you must choose Him! You must make Him a priority on every level, you can’t just fit Him in where it seems convenient! He loves you and wants His best for you, that is why He says in Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Pretty simple, do you want His future and hope for you or would you rather choose your own way?  It actually excites me to think that The One and Only True God, Who created everything that was ever created, wants to teach me and lead me through life!  Wow!  It just doesn’t get any better than that!  The God of All Wisdom wants to give you some of that wisdom to help you to be successful in the life He created you to live ~ it is still a choice you have to make!

He wants to guide you and see you through all that you may face in life. The choice is yours, so choose wisely. If you choose Him, you can walk through life truly knowing that His best is yet to come!
