1 Chronicles 17:16
Then King David went in and sat before the Lord and said, “Who am I, O Lord God, and what is my house that you have brought me thus far? And this was a small thing in your eyes, O God.

David was known for being a man after God’s own heart – what made him ‘different’? After all he had Uriah murdered because David had committed adultery with Bathsheba, Uriah’s wife, so it wasn’t like he was walking absolutely perfect with God, he made some big mistakes.

The difference with David that we find ladies, is that he believed God! When he was a young boy and had to watch his father’s sheep he trusted God when he faced the lion and the bear that God would deliver them into his hand. When the whole Israelite army was afraid of Goliath and the Philistine army David marched his young self out there faced him and rebuked him for defying God and killed him! When David was faced with Saul wanting to kill him he trusted God to deliver the kingdom into his hands one day, without David having to take things into his own hands and kill Saul himself. David trusted God!

How about you? When you have done all you can in your situation do you trust God? When you are up against a wall do you believe beyond a shadow of a doubt that He will bring you through to the other side?

I challenge you today to trust God. Do your part and then be that Woman after God’s own heart and allow Him to work things out. Trust Him to do what you can’t do alone. Trust Him to do it without you having to compromise your beliefs to bring it to pass. David had opportunity to kill Saul but that wouldn’t have made it right, he even had people around him saying that God had delivered Saul his enemy into his hand so it was ok to kill him. Don’t compromise, don’t get ahead of God, Keep your eyes on His face, seek Him today and trust HIm. You may not be able to trust those around you but you can trust Him!

“I am grateful for all of my problems. After each one was overcome, I became stronger and more able to meet those that were still to come. I grew in all my difficulties.” J.C. Penney
