Wait A Minute…. Let Me Find My Self Worth

Proverbs 31:30-31   Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.  Give her of the fruit of her hands, and let her works praise her in the gates.

What are you basing your self-worth on? Where can you find it? Girl, if you are basing it on anything other than what God has to say about you, you have totally missed it!  God created you to be beautiful both inside and out.

We live in a world where it can be very difficult to be a woman in any culture.  There are countries and cultures where women are treated as bad as a dog or as though  they are no more than property to be sold or you could live in America where I am sorry but if you have a problem with the Proverbs 31 woman look at what the standard is for women here!  Think about it; men are surrounded by pornography on the internet, tv, etc.  there are highly “successful” business women, and then if you are a Mom trying to juggle everything …….. there’s absolutely no way to be today’s “perfect” woman.  Satan has designed the cultures around the world to attack women in one way or another.  There’s nothing wrong with being successful in business, it is very important to have successful business women in the work place, there’s nothing wrong with being beautiful and being a stay at home Mom is a great call and huge job as well, we need to strive to do our best in all we do, the problem is that no matter what any, and I mean any, woman has there’s always an area she usually feels inadequate in.  None of us truly feel as though we have it all together.  Maybe she is successful in business but doesn’t feel she is very pretty, or maybe she is beautiful but gets teased because everyone expects her to be a ditz, maybe she is a stay at home Mom and feels as though she almost has to be ashamed that she isn’t focused on a career (there are no careers more important than raising your children for God).  Satan hates us, he hates our beauty, both inside and out so he is out to destroy our homes, families and marriages by destroying the way women feel about themselves!

Don’t allow what the world or maybe even someone close to you has to say determine your self worth!  God made you to be successful in what He has called you to do whatever that is!  There’s no greater success for you than for you to do what you know God has called you to do!  There’s no more beautiful woman on earth than one who knows and fears God, the glow of a woman like that cannot be compared to all of the “brush ups” men can do on a model in a magazine!  If you are feeling down because maybe you don’t feel as though you measure up in some area stop for a minute and ask God about it.  I know things like pornography can tear a woman apart because if her man is looking at something like that she instantly feels as though she “isn’t enough” or if he has an affair she may feel as though she was the “stupid woman at home” but it isn’t true sweetie! God made you beautiful.  If Satan has attacked you in some way through someone else I am truly sorry, I have been there, but please remember there is a difference between not “being enough” and someone else having a problem that is straight from Hell!

God wants you to be confident in who you are in Him!  He wants you to walk with your head high knowing He made you beautiful.  He loves you so much that He wants to have a close relationship with you so He can love on you to the point that all that anyone else has to say or do is either Icing on the cake or rolls off like water off a ducks back!  He loves you!  Don’t allow Satan to have another minute making you feel inadequate – that is not who you are!  You are royalty and you are a child of the Most High Everlasting God of all the earth!  You are gorgeous both inside and out when you give it all to Him and in the end that is all that will matter!
