We All Need Hope For The Future

by | May 23, 2014

Psalm 33:18 Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear him, on those who hope in his steadfast love,

Where there is no hope we tend to become paralyzed with fear of what is coming next. Have you ever just been at a point where you just dreaded what was coming even though you had no idea what was coming. Maybe you were afraid of how you were going to pay your bills or maybe you were or are facing illness in your family, whatever it is you need to hold on to your hope and faith in God!

Where does your hope come from? The only place we can find true hope for our future is in God! We are certainly not going to find hope in what our government is doing and really hope doesn’t come from a job or another person, our security and hope for our future is found in God and Him alone. He loves you and cares about all you are facing. He sees all and He has promised to work things out in a way that will be for your good and His glory!

When you are down and out or fearful of what lies ahead, put all your faith in Him and hold onto verses like this one. Write some encouraging verses on cards and carry them with you and when Satan comes along and tries to discourage you, pull them out and read them out loud! There is great power in the word of God! When Jesus was tempted by the Devil, Jesus quoted scripture (read Matthew chapter 4). Hold on to His promise in Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you”, declares the Lord, “plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

Whatever it is you may be facing or you think you may be facing, trust God. Pray and pour your heart out to HIm. Hold on to His word and your hope in Him. Nothing is too big for Him to handle, it is all a small thing to the God who created all! Ask God to use what you are dealing with today to help you to serve Him better. Ask Him if there is anything you need to learn from this today so you can learn it and move forward! God loves you and there isn’t a tear you have cried that He hasn’t noticed. He is working and will bring it all to pass! The best is yet to come!

God is just so awesome…you have no idea how this ministered to me and said what I needed to read and encouraged me. I am in a very, very difficult place right now in my life and it seems like the battle only gets more intense. My favorite verse is Romans 8:28 – the end of the chapter. Your post today is such a blessing, I am going to write verses down on index cards and keep them with me to reflect on His Word and what God says, not what people say, not the circumstances, not the heartache and pain I have right now. I am blessed, really I am, but right now it is full fledged spiritual warfare going on in every area of my life.My heart wants only to know God’s plan and what God wants me to do…He loves us so much. One of the last things in this you said…”the best is yet to come !” God has been sending that phrase to me on and off at some of my most stressful, lowest moments and once again He sent i,t but through you this time…thank you for listening to Him. I know there are many others who will be touched by this as well. May God bless your tender heart.
