When You Are Stuck Between a Rock and a Hard Place

YAY!!!  Praise God, it’s back!  Thank you for your prayers and support!  Please take a moment and share so others will know that our site is back up and running!

Exodus 14:13-14,   Moses answered the people,  “Do not be afraid.  Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today.  The Egyptians you see today you will never see again.  The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”

There are some battles that God allows in your life to bring you to the point of knowing that He is your only hope!  If He doesn’t step in, you have no idea how it will work out.  If that is the case and you are walking with Him then just watch Him work!  Sometimes, not only you, but the people around you need to see the mighty hand of God.  Unfortunately we seem to have gotten to a place where we don’t seem to believe God enough for Him to do miracles of Biblical proportion.  Why?  I have had people even tell me that God just doesn’t work like that.  Really?  Well, I am believing that He does!  He is still God of all and His promises in the Bible are as real for today as they were thousands of years ago.

I believe that part of the problem is that so many people want to live however they choose, ignoring what God says in His word about what is right and wrong and then when He doesn’t perform the way they want Him to, they say well He just doesn’t do that anymore.  NO!  I believe we just don’t follow Him close enough and believe.  We need to take Him at His word.  We need to strive to be like Him.  Jesus came to fulfill the law so we could be saved.  He didn’t come saying that we could live however we please He said we should strive to rise above and live lives that are pleasing to Him.  Read Matthew chapter 5.  Jesus wasn’t trying to make us legalists He was trying to make a point though that we are to strive to be like Him.  Raise our standards because His Spirit lives in us when we have accepted Him as our Savior.  The fruit of the Spirit dwells in you, but you have to make the choice to allow it to guide you in every area of your life!  Don’t choose complacency.  Strive to be all God created you to be.  I love the example the preacher used yesterday in his sermon:  “In Nascar once a driver is ready to go and in his or her car with helmet on and strapped in for the race, they could decide that they just feel like coasting down the track, but why would they do that?  Your walk with God is the same way; you can choose to coast or strive for all that He created you to be!”

Don’t be afraid of what’s ahead.  If you are boxed in and there’s seemingly no way you can fix it or make it on your own then I would encourage you to cling to Him and watch Him fight for you!  Believe God today for any promises He has given you!  Pray and ask Him what you need to do, don’t try figuring it all out on your own!  Trust Him to shine in your life as you walk close to Him knowing that His best is yet to come.  It doesn’t always come in our timing, but you can trust that He is working and He will do what He has said He will do!

Quote:  “Courage doesn’t always roar.  Sometimes it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, ‘I will try again tomorrow.’”  ~ Mac Anderson
