Will You Be Better or Bitter

Psalm 42:8
By day the Lord commands his steadfast love, and at night his song is with me, a prayer to the God of my life.

When we are going through devastations, struggles and trials in life we have two choices:
We can buck up and do our best to get tough, build walls around ourselves to protect us and determine to “handle” this ourselves because we are “strong women”.
We can press into God and allow Him to work in our lives and allow Him to give us the strength we need by pouring ourselves into Him and His Word.

Life is full of struggles and they tend to make us better or bitter and it is our choice which one that is! God’s love is always abundant in our lives we just have to accept that it is there even in hard times. We are never lacking as Christians when it comes to the love of God. We need to truly grasp that He lives within us so His love is ever present in our lives! You can’t run from it or hide from it you just have to allow it to fill all those empty and hurting places in your heart.

When we decide that we can do this ourselves we tend to even shut God out, sometimes it is because whether or not we want to admit it we are angry with Him because we have struggles and He didn’t “fix” whatever or whomever it was that caused all the pain. We live in a real world ladies and pain exists because sin exists. The only way to truly become stronger in any given situation is to allow God to make you stronger. The only way to move forward and have victory and healing is to give it all to Him and allow Him to use it for your good. Don’t shut Him out and don’t go it alone. Reach out to Him and find other godly women to walk with.

I would encourage you today that no matter what you are facing to draw close to God and allow Him to be your steadfast love and your song in the night. God loves you and He does care about what you are facing. Know that He is walking beside you and He wants to be your strength and He wants to give you Hope for your future! The best is truly yet to come if you will just trust Him with it!

The timing is perfect. I was starting to roll over into the realm of bitterness about a situation when I opened my email and read this.
