Winning The Battle For Yourself And All That God Created You To Be

I must share something with you here before the Bible Study today because I need to make sure you see it, for your sake!  I shared a poem awhile back and I am not even going to mention the name of it here because the author does not want it shared on any level, but it was at the end of the Bible Study.  Since the author claims to be a Christian and the poem was about living a life that matters, I shared it and gave her credit for it, but she is trying to get money for it!  Please, if you have copied it or were thinking about sharing it in any way, don’t!!  Don’t use it in your church, (she is even pursuing preachers who have used it) don’t write it down where anyone else may pick it up, don’t share it on Facebook or anything else because she will come after you.  I don’t ever share lyrics to songs or anything else, but I felt her poem was worth sharing and I properly gave her credit, but it certainly wasn’t worth the thousands of dollars she wants.  LOL  I have removed it from the blog and apologized, and have been advised to ignore her, but I don’t want anyone else to have to go through the stress of all of this!  Now, on to more important things:

2 Timothy 1:7
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

So, what kind of life are you living today: Are you living a life full of love and feelings of empowerment and knowing that you can take on the world and win today, or are you living a life full of fear and doubt and low self-esteem, feeling as though you aren’t sure how to make it through another day? Feelings of failure, self doubt, feeling as though you can never do enough to be truly loved and accepted, worthlessness all are lies of the devil, trying to defeat you and keep you from all God has planned.

God doesn’t want you to live in fear! God loves you more than words can say and when someone truly loves you, they don’t want you to live in fear, they want to build you up to be all God created you to be. God loves you and wants to empower you! He wants you to feel loved, appreciated and able to do all He created you to do. He wants to fill you with His peace, knowing He is there for you and He will carry you through the tough times. He wants to see you succeed and walk in His confidence of all He created you for!

So, if you are living in fear and self doubt, how exactly are you supposed to rise above all of that you ask! Well, depending on what you are living with on a daily basis will determine just how much of a battle you will have, but no matter what, you can resist the lies and overcome! If you are living with someone who is constantly tearing you down, this will take a bit more effort and determination than if it is just you tearing yourself down, but you can do it, God will see you through!

First thing to do is figure out what lies you are believing ~ you hear them all day whether they are from someone else or yourself! There are negative thoughts running through your mind, what are they? Listen and every time you hear one, write it down. At the end of the day take that list and for every negative thing you have either said to yourself or someone else has said to you about you, write down what you know deep down inside Jesus would say about you: “you are loved, you are worth dying for, you are beautiful, you are full of potential, you can accomplish all God created you to accomplish, you are worthy, you are precious, you are special, you can do whatever you set your mind to do!” When you are done ~ tear that list in half and burn the negative side and keep that positive side with you all the time so when the lies come, you can pull it out and read it again! You can do this!

As you work at becoming all you were created to be, know that Satan will fight you with everything he can, because he doesn’t want to see what you may accomplish if you realize your full potential! Keep 2 Timothy 1:7 close and also keep in mind these verses as well: Ephesians 6:10-13, “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against he wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all ~ to stand.” You can stand! He will give you the strength to stand. God doesn’t just want you to survive, He wants to give you the strength to thrive because that is what He created you for! Is it easy? No, that is why it is called a battle! You are fighting for yourself and those you love. Lean on Him, trust Him to give you what you need to win this – you were created to walk in His confidence, as royalty, He created you to succeed as you follow Him in all you do! The best is yet to come!

Janet, I was so disheartened to find out that the lady wants to sue you over the use of her poem. I would think she would be thrilled to have her words shared with others–particularly for those of us who look for inspiration. Janet, you provide such a great service to women and are such a wonderful motivator and inspiration! Please do not be discouraged and we support you. I am praying for this situation (as I am sure my sisters who subscribe to Chocolate and God, are doing the same). I will pray for God to soften the poet’s heart; I will pray for you to have strength and be renewed in Him and His comfort. He knows all and surely there will be good to come out of this, no matter what, and you will be provided for and protected. Hang in there and keep doing what you do! You’re email (your words and scriptures) is sometimes the brightest part of my day!

Thank you for your concern Deb, you have been an encouragement! It will be ok, I just didn’t want anyone else to have the experience. I am sure it will all blow over!

How can we know without a date or a title?

I have removed it now Marsha. I will email you the name of it because I don’t want to list it. The author appears to be googling to see anyplace it is listed online. LOL I am sorry, this really hasn’t been funny, but I wish I had that kind of time…… to think of all I could accomplish! Sad ~ it is really very sad and we all need to pray for her!
