Whether God delivers you from this or He is pushing you to fight this battle, know this ~ you are not going alone!

There are times in life when God will deliver you from something because He has decided that it is His battle, not yours and there are other times, He equips you for that battle instead.

Trust me, I would rather He delivered me from every battle instead of ever having to face one, but I have learned that it is often in the battles of life that our walk with Him grows sweeter. We learn in those battles to trust Him, to lean on Him and to appreciate our walk with Him. When you don’t have the strength to go through one more day and you choose to lean on Him and to trust Him to give you that strength, your love for Him deepens and your faith grows. If there is a battle you are facing that God has not delivered you from, then you can know that He will give you all you need to overcome and to have victory! But, not only that, He will be with you every step of the way and you will come out on the other side better and stronger for the experience.

There are times that God chooses to deliver instead of your facing the struggle ahead. It always amazes me when I see someone who has a struggle with an addiction and one day they decide they are giving it to God and they have victory and yet there are others who give it to God and still face the battle on a daily basis. Why? Does that somehow mean that one of those people is more special or they are closer to God? No, not necessarily, it just means that God has decided what will make each of them stronger in the long run. Sometimes you need a battle to build you up. Everyone has battles, no one escapes ever having to fight a battle here or there, so when you do choose to lean on Him. Trust God to equip you and give you the strength you need. Focus on your relationship with Him and trust Him that the best is yet to come!
