You Can Trust Him With It

Hebrews 3:15-19  As it is said, “Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.”  For who were those who heard and yet rebelled?  Was it not all those who left Egypt led by Moses?  And with whom was he provoked for forty years?  Was it not with those who sinned, whose bodies fell in the wilderness?  And to whom did he swear that they would not enter his rest, but to those who were disobedient?  So we see that they were unable to enter because of unbelief.

Too often we look at the idea of having faith as just being in a situation where we need something from God and we “believe” Him for it.  We do need that type of faith, but faith goes so far beyond all of that.  True faith is trusting that whatever comes my way was filtered by God and is going to mold me into the woman of God He wants me to be.  It would be wonderful if all of our learning experiences were fun and pleasant, but life isn’t that way.  Sometimes it takes tough times and unpleasant people in our lives to create in us the perseverance, patience and compassion that God intends to be within us.

The Israelites had to travel through the wilderness, they had to rely on God for everything right down to water and food every single day and yet they failed to trust Him with the giants in the land of Promise.  What giants are you facing that you are wavering in trusting Him with?  Don’t miss out on your land of rest and the blessings of God like they did because you are feeling like you can’t trust that much!  I heard a great quote yesterday, “as a Christian we can know that things don’t happen to us they happen for us.”  Are you grumbling and complaining about everything that comes your way or are you allowing God’s grace to help you to remain faithful through whatever comes your way?

God’s goal for us each and every day is to help us to become all that we can be in every area of our life.  It is vital to that growth process for us to trust Him and to keep that faith in each circumstance so we can continue to move forward.  Life isn’t easy for anyone!  The grass may look greener in someone else’s life, but trust me they have their share of struggles, temptations and frustrations in life just like you, you just don’t know what their struggles are and trust me you probably don’t want the problems they have!

Keep the faith today, trust that God is working, don’t get a rebellious or angry attitude because of your situation ask Him for the grace to get through it and to learn what He is trying to teach you through this.  God loves you and He does have your best interest at heart and the best is yet to come!
