Luke 18: 1-8
And He told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not lose heart.

He said, “In a certain city there was a judge who neither feared God nor respected man. And there was a widow in that city who kept coming to him and saying, ‘Give me justice against my adversary.’ For a while he refused, but afterward he said to himself, ‘Though I neither fear God nor respect man, yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will give her justice, so that she will not beat me down by her continual coming.’ “ And the Lord said, “Hear what the unrighteous judge says. And will not God give justice to his elect, who cry to him day and night? Will He delay long over them? I tell you He will give justice to them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on earth?”

Do you have the faith you need today to keep persevering in prayer to God for what is so heavy on your heart? Don’t lose hope! God isn’t finished working on your situation and even though you cannot see it, He is working on it! Pray for God’s will in your situation! If you could see what God sees, you would ask for what He knows is best. Don’t lose heart if things don’t seem to be turning out the way you hoped or planned! God has great plans for your life and your focus needs to be on Him and not the situation at hand! He can make something beautiful out of disaster! Trust me, I didn’t think when I was divorced with 3 little kids that I would ever survive, let alone ever be used by God and yet God has taken all the heartaches and struggles I have been through to make me able to help other women who have either been through it or are struggling in marriage or going through a divorce.

(Side note here: Divorce is not always the answer, there are times it cannot be avoided for multiple reasons, but trust me it isn’t the “easy way”, especially if you have children! Don’t ever think for a moment that I am for divorce, I’m certainly not, but I also know from experience that there are times that it just can’t be avoided. I prayed for years and we tried counseling, but he just wasn’t willing on many levels.)

Now, back to prayer….. don’t give up! Pray believing that God is still on His throne and He is working out the details and He will come through for you, He knows what is best! God can use this situation to show Himself mighty in your life! He loves you and the best is yet to come if you will just hold on to Him and His promises.
