God Always Fulfills His Promises

Isaiah 7:14
Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

The birth of Jesus was prophesied approximately 700 years before His birth. God is a god of order and design and He always has a plan and He always comes through. Now don’t be sitting there this morning thinking…… Auuughh, so it could take 700 years for Him to answer me? No, I am sure it won’t take Him 700 years to fulfill His promise in you! But know that no matter what, no matter where you have been ~ your God has a plan for you and He will perform it if you just trust Him and follow His lead.

Matthew 1: 18-22, Now the birth of Jesus Christ took place in this way. When his mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found to be with child from the Holy Spirit. And her husband Joseph being a just man and unwilling to put her to shame, resolved to divorce her quietly. But as he considered these things, behold an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph son of David, do not fear to take Mary as your wife, for that which is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.” All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had spoken by the prophet.

God came through! Not only did He fulfill all He had promised, He did it because He loves you so much, He was willing to give His only son for you! God loves you! As you celebrate His birth this Christmas season, allow that love to encourage you to hold on and to trust Him. Allow His love to flow through you to others so they can know the love of God as well! May this Christmas season be a time of growing to be more like Him and a time of learning to trust Him more!
