God, Himself, Wants to Strengthen You And Establish You

by | Feb 22, 2016

2 Corinthians 12:9
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Are you feeling today as though you just don’t have the strength to continue? You just don’t have any fight left in you and you don’t know how much more you can take? It may sound cliche’ but God wants to carry you through to the other side, but you have to let Him. Once we get depressed or frustrated in our circumstances it can be easy to lose hope because we have a tendency to only focus on the problem and we seem to lose the strength to look up to God, our answer.

If you or someone you know are facing this today let me encourage you to ask God to give you the gift of His joy back and to give you the strength to seek His face. Whether you feel like it or not, turn on some praise and worship music, don’t be turning on sad songs, praise will renew your hope and your focus on God! Take one step at a time and as you overcome one obstacle ask Him for the wisdom and strength for what lies ahead. I can’t say enough, “focus, focus, focus on Him!” God wants to turn your sadness into joy again, His desire is for you to have hope for your future! Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

1 Peter 5:10 says, And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen and establish you.

God Himself will rescue you, restore you, confirm and strengthen you and establish you! He loves you and has promised you this so focus on Him! Look for His strength and for Him to deliver you!

I do feel I need to throw in also that if you are suffering from severe depression, seek help. Go to your doctor or find a Christian counselor in your area to walk with you through it! We all need help at times and we all need someone to walk through difficult times with us, so don’t hesitate to seek professional help if you need it.

The best is yet to come! Focus on Him!
